Genuine accessibility lives in the details, and we design them in rather than retrofitting later. Every one of our Disability Pods Liverpool installations is designed to these standards from the first drawing. Accessible dwellings in the UK should reflect the standards in Part M of the building regulations (access to and use of buildings), and our pods are built around those principles:
- Level, step-free access: flush thresholds at the entrance and throughout
- Wide doorways and turning space: genuine room for wheelchairs and mobility aids
- Anti-slip flooring: safe for wheelchair users and unsteady walkers
- Accessible wet rooms: roll-in showers, grab rails, and mobility-ready fittings
- Accessible-height fittings: sockets, switches, and worktops set for seated use
- Hoist-ready design: reinforced fixing points where a ceiling hoist may be needed
Every pod is engineered on the strength of light gauge steel framing, giving a durable, low-maintenance structure that lasts for decades.
